For those who are skeptical about Apple’s PC market share and doubtful that Apple will soon be ubiquitous around you. Here’s a report to show that Apple have placed 4th place in the U.S. Personal Computer market in the first quarter.
According to Apple’s 1Q 2008 market share reported by Gartner and MacRumors, Apple’s U.S. and worldwide PC shipments have claimed to the 4th place. The table showed that Apple grew 32.5% within a year, “far outpacing the total industry shipment growth of 3.0%” according to MacRumors.

Apple notebooks have seen strong sales in February. The Macbook Air might have something to do with that.
Apple still has a long way to go before they start bothering Microsoft’s dominance. Slowly but surely Microsoft is loosing ground though by being attacked from two sides. Apple attacks with cool hardware paired with stylish and easy to use user interfaces. On the other front Linux comes in with low priced hardware that just does the job as well as a more expensive Windows system.
