  • Qualcomm product manager Choudhury said, the company plan to launch 5 android handsets within one year to year and half.

Choudhury said the Android phones will have similar features to the Apple iPhone but be available at prices closer to mass market feature phones and sport better links to Web services for photos, video and more, he added.

“Google has really thought through what Apple has just begun to unlock,” said Choudhury.

Qualcomm was among many companies who demonstrated working Android devices at cellular shows earlier this year. Developers are now bringing up media applications on the systems and then will turn to work on location-based services and systems optimization for lowest power and maximum throughput, he said. • Pimp Your MacBook Air

Apparently someone didn’t think the MacBook Air was “expensive/stylish/grant” enough, so they decided to give it a little boost in value and elegance.

Computer Chopper gold plated the MacBook Air with 24kt gold all over the entire laptop and, in a final stake through El Jobso’s heart, an Apple logo ensconced in multi-colored sapphires. Furthermore, the SuperDrive was polished with gold.

If you thought that was off the limit, the next MacBook Air is covered in 8,000 Swarovski crystals.

Windows XP SP3 to be Released in April

It’s a great news for Windows XP and Vista users,

Last year Microsoft said that they are going to stop Windows XP in june, but now this is turning other way around. “Microsoft Monday completed work on Windows XP SP3. The company said the final code of the service pack has been released to manufacturing and now is working its way to OEMs and corporate customers. Access via Microsoft’s Automatic Update feature will begin April 29.” according to Infoworld

Windows XP SP3 includes all previously released Windows XP updates, including security updates and hotfixes, and select out-of-band releases. Windows XP SP2 was released in August 2004.

    SP3 includes:

    • Network Access Protection (NAP) to help organizations that use Windows XP to take advantage of new features in the Windows Server 2008 operating system.

The new XP Service Pack also rolls up the following features:

    • MMC 3.0
    • MSXML6
    • Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 v2
    • Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.5
    • IPsec Simple Policy Update for Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP
    • Digital Identity Management Service (DIMS)
